Privacy and data use

CatchFirst is intended to access only the Reddit data reasonably required to provide alerts created by users. Depending on an alert, this may include:

• Public post title
• Public post body where required for matching
• Subreddit
• Post URL or permalink
• Post creation time
• Flair where relevant
• Reddit username where required for attribution of displayed Reddit content

Reddit data is used to identify newly submitted public posts that match alerts explicitly created by users, deliver relevant notifications, link users to the original Reddit post, and keep the alert service working as intended.

CatchFirst is not intended to provide:

• A historical Reddit archive
• Bulk Reddit data exports
• Reddit datasets
• Data resale
• A third-party Reddit search database

CatchFirst will retain Reddit content only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide alerts, prevent duplicate notifications, operate and secure the service, and comply with Reddit requirements.

CatchFirst will honor Reddit deletions and remove stored Reddit content when it is deleted or otherwise required by Reddit. We minimize retention of Reddit content and routinely purge cached content that is no longer required to provide the service.

Where AI processing is used, it is limited to inference tasks such as evaluating whether a post is relevant to a user-created alert and preparing an optional private response draft for the user to review.

CatchFirst does not use Reddit content to train or fine-tune AI models. Generated response drafts are never automatically submitted to Reddit.

CatchFirst is a notification companion. It does not automatically perform any of the following actions on behalf of users:

• Post
• Comment
• Vote
• Send private messages

Users decide whether and how to interact with a post. Original Reddit content is linked back to Reddit.

One Zeno does not sell Reddit data. CatchFirst is not designed to resell, license, or otherwise commercialize Reddit content as a standalone data product.
